Composting 101

Anyone who has the desire to improve their garden's soil should get this book. I've been composing for more than 50 years and I finally wanted to find out if my techniques were correct or was I wasting my time. Well, according to Stu Campbell my methods work but I also learned a surprising bit of basic information that will make me an even better gardner in the future. If you love gardening then this is a must easy read.

Easy to Read and Informative

This book provided excellent background information as well as tips to get compost started. Scientific information was provided, but it was written so that anyone with a high school education could understand. I have started my composter (garbage can with holes drilled in it) and am looking forward to see how this experiment turns out.

all you really need to know about composting is in this book

I just built my first compost bins and I refer to this book often. I built it out of pallets as I didn't want to invest any money at this time and then find out later I wasn't going to like it. It is working out great. I already have decomposing going on and the worms have moved in! (which is good!) It has only been about 2-3 weeks and I was surpised and happy to see some progress happening.

A great book for those without internet

This book is a solid primer on composting. It gives you everything you need to know to get composting. It is written well.

I can't say anything negative about this book, but I can say that with a few minutes of searching the internet you can find everything in the book for free. It does not have anything unique besides the author's style and delivery.

book review

Well it turns out that the little booklet in the composter I purchased would have served the info purpose that I needed so this was an unnecessary purchase-sorry editor.
