This filter doesn't fit the coffee maker. So it cost me the shipping to return it.I love this thing!Shake the grounds out into the garbage, a quick rinse and it's ready to go. Good for the planet! Definite 5 stars.Impermanent Filter.Although you would think this would be a permanent filter, it really is not. I am on my third filter in about one and half years. The coffee maker I have, did not come with a "permanent" filter and I did not want to keep using paper ones. I purchased this and it did its job and I was satisfied.After about 6 months or so I noticed that coffee was starting to get sludgier as other reviewers have noted. In my case, I discovered that after a while, the mesh screen rips at the bottom portion of the filter. Therefore, it would make sense that sludge would get through when the coffee is brewing. I have not idea if this is a weakness in this model or because of the design. Perhaps if the mesh was not attached to plastic and it was a mesh bottom, the structural integrity would be stronger and last longer. Whatever the factor for the mesh screen pulling apart from the plastic is, I find this filter satisfying while it lasts and of course I am not happy that eventually the filter disintegrates. I may continue purchasing but now I am going to look for an alternate one. PickyMust be a fuss budget to order one of these, it does however live up to my specifications.Unnecessary purchaseAmazon prompted this purchase. The coffee pot I purchased included the exact filter so the purchase was not needed.
