Just put the filter in a funnel and it works great. It's best for coffe though, because it allows all the oils to pass through the filter providing a very flavorful cup of coffee. I've compared this to using a paper filter in the same machine and the paper filter makes Dunkin Donuts coffee taste like Folgers.Paper is better.I used this filter for a while. I would buy good quality Starbucks coffee but i didn't like the flavor of my coffee. About two weeks ago i switched to a paper filter and the flavor of the coffee is much smoother and flavorful.Great filterUsually, I purchase paper filters.
