I brewed the coffee and it started leaking from the bottom and i opened the lid to discover it was on fire! My house is overcome with plastic fumes.I called their customer service and they where terribly rude. I purchased and registered this 31/2 years ago and the warranty is 3 years. They have no service center and they tried to sell me another one at a much higher price than ant store. I am contacting the attorney general and the BBB. Very good until breaksLasted almost exactly a year (355 days to be precise). Then the front panel went dead, with nothing displayed. Would come back a few times after left unplugged for several hours, but eventually died for good. BB&B was gracious enough to exchange the item, but beware. Other than that, brews great coffee and convenient to use. One small quibble is that when you open the lead to remove the coffee container, it drips to the back of the coffee maker on the counter -- had to have a paper towel underneath at all times.The King Of The CoffeemakersThis should be in it's own class of coffeemakers,under the "Serious Coffee Drinker's Models". It does the job with ease,whether you need 4 or 14 cups at a time. The up to 4hr Auto shutoff timer keeps it hot. The brew delay wakes you up with fresh made,good tasting brew. Iv'e owned many of the "cheaper chain store brands" figuring to save money,none of them come close to the quality of the brew you get with this machine. This one truly is "Well worth it's price" I rate it " 2 Mugs Up " !DCC-2200The only thing I do not like about this coffee maker is that it does not have an external sight glass to indicate how much water is in the reservior, every thing else great. Unlike my old pot it dosen't wake me before tha alarm does.Great coffee makerAfter going through 4 Kitchenaid 14 cup coffee makers (Whirlpool replaced 3 at no cost) in 2 years I finally ordered this one. This one works wonderfully. I've used the Cuisinart daily for over a year & never had any problems. Makes great coffee & extremely easy to operate. The filter is very easy to change.
