Less than 1 year old & LEAKING!!! :(

We purchased this model because of the updated design (no pot and added features). We thought with the updates they would have fixed the leaking problem. Well, for the first 8 months, no problems what-so-ever! Then, we come home from church to find coffee all over our counter and floor! This model is leaking as well! We've only followed direction for cleaning - never did anything outside of the provided care instructions and, this happens in less than a year? I wouldn't suggest this model to anyone! :(

HB47665 Coffeemaker review

Was looking to replace a metal carafe drip maker and came upon this carafe-less design. Although the coffee resevoir is insulated, it doesn't maintain the temperature without assistance from a heating element built into the base. However, I don't find this heater to overcook the brew in any way and it shuts down automatically in 2 hours. The unit may appear a little bulky but the footprint is about the same as the others. Coffee is good and hot (measured at 193.0F) and the dispenser is dead-on... no drips whatsoever (and there is a small wire-mesh filter on the inside of the resevoir to prevent any loose grounds from entering the dispenser valve and causing leaks.) They could stand to improve the resevoir fill however... access is narrow and you need to pay attention during the pour. Another small mentionable is the waterlevel window -- often the contrast is not great enough to determine exactly how much water is being added or how much coffee remains. Lastly, this particular model does not signal that the cycle is completed. Overall I'd give it a solid B and would replace it with the next level unit up.

Joining the leaky ranks

I purchased this coffee maker in early December of 2008, and have been mostly pleased with it. It makes an okay cup of coffee, though nothing to write home about. I am a pretty heavy coffee maker, so it has certainly gotten much use. However, about a week and a half ago, it happened: coffee everywhere. It just seeped coffee all over my counter, soaking anything in its path (including a box of Truvia, and that stuff ain't cheap!!). I went through the whole cleaning process and thought that may fix the issue - wrong. Still, coffee would end up everywhere. So I came here to Amazon to find out if anyone else was having the same issues (I mainly come to Amazon for customer reviews on all of the products I buy), and found that I was not alone. It seems as though this thing is designed to die after less than 2 years of use. Perhaps this flaw is intentional so as to push customers to replace theirs, I don't know. After reading a couple of user reviews, I found that they had success with tightening the screws on the bottom of the carafe/tank dealy, so I decided to try it. I emptied out the remains of whatever was left in the tank and tightened every screw I could get at on the bottom. I filled it up with water just to see what would happen, and sure enough, water began to seep onto the counter from UNDERNEATH!! So not only is it leaking, but it's leaking THROUGH the base of the coffee maker where a lot of electronics make residence, making it not only a nuisance, but a safety hazard!! I like my morning coffee to give me a jolt, I don't need to be electrocuted thank you very much. So now it is midnight, I have pulled my old coffee maker out of the basement, and I'm running cleaning cycles through it so I have coffee for when I have to wake up for work in 6 hours. Thanks for 18 okay months Hamilton Beach, but I buy my products because I expect them to last at least a few years. No more HB products for this shopper...

Far superior and more convenient to carafe coffee makers

It took less than a week to convince my significant other (who had used carafe coffee makers for 20+ years) how much better the BrewStations are.

I wish this particular BrewStation had more program features, or brew strength options. But coffee from this machine has never been disappointing.

This product is Fantastic!

As the owner of two previous Brew master Coffee machines, I can honestly tell you this one is also fantastic, terrific. I had no problems with my other two, except for time and wearing out, and since nothing lasts for ever, I knew I had to get another one. This coffee maker is perfect because there is no glass carafe to break, it is pretty simple to use, and everyone gets a nice, hot cup of coffee. There are more fancier Brew Stations, but for my usage, this one works out great. Considering I use my last two Brew Stations constantly every single day, sometimes twice a day, or more. Every guest enjoyed pouring their own cup of coffee, and raved about it. If you are looking for a coffee machine that lives up to the test, time after time, get yourself this one. Excellent!
