I change them about about every two to three months, and I haven't had any issue with them. The filtering system is one of the reasons I went for the Breville over the Keurig brand machines.It filtered my water!We use a PUR filter on our tap, which basically does the same thing as this, as such, we do not replace the Breville filter as often as the manufacturer suggests. I hope the Breville filter police do not find out.FiltersI find that these charcoal filters need to be changed quarterly, at the most.
