The cost was a 1/3 of what I paid for the same item at our local supply house.Prompt deliveryThe element in my humidifier was bad.This one is identical to the manufacturers', but cost less. It was delivered quickly and fit right in with no problem at all. It works as well as any of these devices do ( not that great) but if you already have an Aprilaire humidifier, this is an easy-replace element for it.m If your humidifier drips you need a new element. If you have never replaced one it is very easy. Cheaper than Home DepotNormally I would have drove up to HD to buy a replacement, but when I saw the price was at least [...] bucks cheaper here on Amazon, well there wasn't much question. This is exactly the right filter for my Aprilaire 600 home humidifier system. It was a quick and painless swap out and I learned a little about the cleaning of the holder when I did it.Comedy of errorsThe product is exactly as advertised and I give it 5 stars. But getting it was a comedy of errors. After about a week I realized that it hadn't arrived. I inquired and was told it was on back order. Eventually I got an email telling me that it had shipped. About a week later I realized that I had not received. I checked the tracking website and found the delivery status as "Delivery Exception." I called UPS and they said that the driver returned the package to the terminal because he didn't know where to deliver it. Huh? The package was addressed to me at my office where UPS delivers dozens of packages every day. Turns out that the vendor used some sort of "home delivery" arm of UPS and they were not accustomed to delivering to anything but a house or apartment (!). I told them to simply take it to the dock. They said that they would have to reschedule the delivery and it would take 2-3 days. A couple of days later UPS called and said that the package would be delivered on Saturday. My office building is closed on weekends. Fortunately, UPS changed the delivery instructions and dropped it off at my house on Saturday. It all worked out, but it took a month. Again, the product was fine . . . the process was goofy. Fortunately, this was not something critical.As expectedThe water pad worked perfectly in our humidifier and was delivered right on time.
