Amazing game for the price

There's nothing too fancy about this game... it's just simple and a lot of fun. The graphics are varied and charming and the game play itself is pretty compelling in that action-packed arcade way. Bargain titles that turn out to be amazing games like this are my favorite!

Any age gamer will enjoy shooting fireworks into the sky.

In Big Bang Mini you drag your stylus like you're striking a match and it sends fireworks to the top screen, destroying enemy targets. At the same time enemies and pieces fall to the lower screen and you have to move your shape out of harm's way. Shoot move, shoot move - different levels bring new ways to attack such as charged blasts and targeting. There is increasing difficulty, in fact, eventually it is nearly impossible to stay out of harm's way long enough to blast the targets.

The creative, colorful art keeps it interesting. This game offers a refreshing, clever design and the music is not half bad. The only setback I can think of is getting stuck because a level is too difficult, in which case you would be unable to progress. I have found, however, that with practice any level can be beaten. Truly a fun game that does not demand a lot of your time - perfect for the "casual gamer" type.

Repetative, simple, somewhat fun mini game

This game is like taking a girl out on a date every day for a month. She gets to wear different clothes each night, but you have to eat at the same place, order the same thing, and watch the same movie.

What we have here is basically space invaders on crack. Stuff flies around on the top and you shoot at it by flicking the stylus while dragging your "ship" around to keep it out of harms way. The "levels" change which means more stuff to shoot at but it is basically the same old thing with a different background and different skins for the enemies.

I would definitely recommend this game for kids, for them I'd say its an easy 5 out of 5 stars. It has a fun arcade type of feel and I think the younger ages will love this. It has great presentation and it is non-violent if you're looking for that sort of thing.

For those who aren't kids, this game is fun for a short time, there is not enough content here to warrant owning it. I have a DS because I travel so much, I play it on the plane. For the price I would definitely pick up something else that will keep you involved longer. This would have been better if it had another (or several) games like it on the same card. It feels like a "download content", or flash player, type of game. Though I have to say again that the presentation and graphics are nice.

Not very fun, scratches up yuor screen

I'll leave the descriptions to the other reviews and just say the game is reeeeeally repetitive : you use your stylus to flick at the the approaching invaders. Over and over and over. I had a screen protector on my DS and scratched it all up! I never even unlocked enough levels to open the relaxing mode (and I have beaten every other DS game I've purchased). Good concept but just not the right game for me. I gave it 3 stars overall because it is artistically impressive but just not very fun.

Not for me

I bought this game based on the rave reviews here. I have to say I'm quite disappointed. As another reviewer pointed out, I spend so much time focusing on the bottom screen that I'm unable to enjoy the beautiful (and they are fabulous!) firework effects. I'm stuck on a stage so I'm unable to get to the "Relax" mode that I was anticipating. I find the game frantic and unsettling, particularly the moving backgrounds and repetitive stylus movements. This is strictly a 'shoot everything as fast as you can' game and has none of the puzzle aspects of other games I enjoy.
