I replaced the manufacturer's filter and ran about 5 gallons through it before I dumped the ice tray. That night my wife noticed that "something is wrong with the water". I didn't notice a taste but she did, and she had no idea that I had even changed the filter. After a few weeks I think that it still tastes okay, but my wife refuses to use the water from the refrigerator.
