Yes it's a two step process with the expresso disc then the creamer but it sure beats an expresso machine and steaming cream. No mess and simple. Just to give you and idea of my tastes, the other products I like on the Tassimo are the Gevalia cappuccino/latte, the starbucks cappuccino/latte, and the Suchard's hot chocolate. Gevalia Swiss hazelnut coffee is ok. Maxwell house cappuccino is ok. Not a huge fan of the starbucks verona bold roast coffee. Milka hot chocolate is horrid.just two starsi was hoping this would be a nice variation from a regular latte. the caramel espresso disc has an very chemical and artificial taste. the creamer part helps, but not enough. will not purchase again.One of my Favorites!I recently bought my Tassimo and have spent a lot of money on various T-discs trying out all of the different flavors and various drinks. This Caramel Latte Macchiato is one of my favorites. Admittedly it is not as sweet as something you might pick up at a local coffee shoppe, but the addition of a pack of Splenda adds just the right amount of sweetness to make what I consider to be a drink equal to (if not better than) what I pay a lot more money for at the coffee shoppe, and a lot more healthy as well.As a newbie to the Tassimo system, I also like the Gevalia Skinny Cappuccino. I was wondering if anyone knew if they sell the fat free creamers in a pack like they sell the other foaming cappuccino and latte milk T-discs. Weak flavor - can't detect any caramel tasteI had high hopes for this product, but was disappointed by the slightly weak taste. It wasn't awful, but I just wasn't impressed. I'd say between 2.5-3 stars, but since 2.5 isn't an option I went with three. The espresso taste was weaker than the plain Maxwell house branded latte and cappuccino T-discs I usually get from the grocery store, and I couldn't detect any caramel flavor at all. I ended up putting in caramel flavored syrup or caramel sauce to make this actually taste like a caramel macchiato. I could adjust it to make a stronger espresso flavor, too, but I haven't gotten around to that yet. I am curious if the Maxwell house version of this will be any better. Packaging is almost identical except for the the change in brand name. As far as basic latte and cappuccino T-discs go, I have to say I am LOVING the new Starbucks brand ones. Great espresso flavor. I add my own flavored syrups for a tasty coffeehouse flavor at home. Honestly macchiato just means layers, so adding caramel to any of the other basic latte T-discs gives you a caramel macchiato. To make the layers you pour the espresso carefully into the milk layer. So milk disc first, then espresso. I find putting a spoon under the flow of the espresso with some caramel on it works well to get the right layered effect and as a great way to add caramel flavor.
